How Our Custom Programs Work

Hockey players have unique nutritional requirements compared to other athletes and need a highly specialized hockey performance program to get to the elite level. But that’s only the first step—the best program in the world will only produce limited results without 1 on 1 coaching from a professional hockey nutrition coach. Our programs offer the total package necessary for your success.

Step 1- Scouting & Player Evaluation

Scouting & Player Evaluation begins with an hour long Zoom/FaceTime call with your nutrition coach. During this call, your nutrition coach will learn about where you are currently at and what your hockey goals are . Your coach will discuss things such as—athlete biometrics, goals, training schedule, daily schedule, current nutritional intake, food likes and dislikes and any other relevant information necessary to setup your online Hockey Evolution Nutrition management account and to begin building your custom meal plans.

Game Time

Step 2- Receive Your Custom Meal Plan

Soon after your Scouting & Player Evaluation meeting you will receive your first custom meal plan from your coach. You will be notified by email and your meal plan will be delivered through your Hockey Evolution Nutrition account. Within your Hockey Evolution Nutrition account, you’ll have the ability interact with your meal plan, use the food swap function, find recipes, access your grocery list, track your nutrition and activity and even communicate with your coach. Once you have your initial meal plan in hand, you’ll have your first Coach’s Nutrition Chalk Talk to go over your meal plan, make any changes and answer any questions you may have.

Step 3- Coach’s Nutrition Chalk Talk

Coach’s Nutrition Chalk Talk is an invaluable 1 on 1 meeting between coach and athlete that provides program accountability, optimization and education. Coach’s Nutrition Chalk Talk is a scheduled Zoom/FaceTime appointment where you will discuss your performance nutrition program progress and make any adjustments for the following weeks meal plan. During this time your coach will answer any questions you have and educate you on a specific aspect of nutrition as it pertains to your overall program.
